A short introduction of Jack Bowler:

My photo
Hello all you lovely blog readers and welcome into my very own personal blog corner here on the world wide web. I feel so honored by having you here on my site/blog, thank you so very much. First of all I want to say that my name is really not Mr Bowler or Bowler, this is an alias I have chosen to use. Mainly becaue I love hats and that I at this point want to keep my real name for my self. Enough about this. It is time for a short introduction. I am a 43 year old (born in 1975) Norwegian male, currently living in south America together with my fiance and my son. I moved from Norway and to Peru during the summer of 2016. You can say that I am here living the life I have always dreamt of. I am the type of guy who loves to entertain and that is also why I started my own blog, hope you enjoy the content.

Are you enjoying my content?

This weekend I have been the king of my own castle:

Hello again my friends here on the great world wide web, yet again it is time for a new Monday and a brand new week with all that follows for us normal people. So tell me, how has your weekend been, did it live up to your acceptation or did it flop this time around? Must say that I hope it was an overwhelming success for you. When it comes to my self then I have to say that it has been amazing and I can't even imagine how it could have been better. So I guess you wonder what happened this weekend that has made it so special for me? To be honest, nothing special really. Actually, the only reason is that I have been the king of my own castle these days. It has just ben me, my self and I.

This is actually the very first alone weekend I have had since I arrived here in Peru almost 3 years ago. Not even when I was single in 2018 did I have a weekend like this, so you can say it has been awesome. The reason for my solitude weekend has been that my girlfriend and son went to Pasamayo to celebrate my mother in laws birthday and I was kinda prevented to join in on the celebration because of work and such. So how did I spend the weekend, did I throw a big ass party or did I go crazy at the local pubs? The reality is that I didn't do any of this, but instead, I dug my self down in work and work-related activities (blog, youtube and social media are included in this, by the way.)

During this weekend I have finally been able to focus 100% on things that have been needing it, especially my normal job and it has done wonders on the efficiency. If I am not mistaken, my production numbers went up around 35% from what I can see on last weeks report and that is pretty good and much thanks to my solitude weekend. Bet I am not alone in the fact that one enjoys a weekend like this once in a while, at the same time t is very important for the relationship to get some distance for a few days. It gives us time to miss each other, something that also happened during these days and it was kinda lovely. It gives you a good feeling when your girlfriend actually sends you a message and tells you she misses you.

So how did my weekend really look like? Actually, the truth is that it didn't look that different to any other day. As usual, I woke up at noon, kicked off my day with a strong and freshly made cup of coffee that I enjoyed while checking newspapers, emails and social media. Having what I call a soft start. At one I logged into my job system and started my workday. No real break until 6 and it usually lasts until 7, during this hour I get my dinner ready and do all the things that need to get done before I continue on my work at 7 as mentioned. After my break, I usually combine work and my online projects. Actually, on Saturday I uploaded a brand new video to my Youtube channel (This is my Magdalena Del Mar), its not an optimal title.

Usually, after my break that ends at 7 I keep on working until around 2 or 3 in the morning and that is also why I usually wake up that late as I do, around noon. To be completely honest, I a lot better at night and always done so. I have the best results and have the most awake brain for some reason, so I am not a typical morning person. So I do a lot of multi-tasking at night, but the really positive about this weekend has been that I have been able to work uninterrupted and with full focus on all aspects of my must do things. So you can say that I have really been a master for the art of multi-tasking these days. You will be able to see the final result of this within a few short weeks.

There is actually one more good thing that has come out of this weekend and this is that in 7 to 10 days I am going to be receiving a brand new computer. Or the truth is that it's secondhand, but actually never been used and is less than a year old. This is also the first time in 15 years or so that I am not going for a laptop, but a stationary computer instead. For you, this means I will be able to produce better quality content on the video side of things and for me it means I get a more up to date and more powerful machine to work on. The honest truth here is that the computer that I am currently working on is really old and outdated in every possible way. I am not even sure how long this laptop is going to last either so it was about time to upgrade my equipment.

I guess its time for me to wrap this post up, just wanted to update you guys and girls on how things are here in Peru for a Norwegian expat. Just to have it mentioned, my weekend in solitude has been amazing and very productive. The part with the new computer is just the cherry on top for my part and this benefits me greatly when it comes to both blog and youtube. I do hope that you enjoyed reading my post and that I will see you around for my next update. I also hope that you will check me out on Twitter, Youtube, Facebook and Instagram as well. I do hope to see you on my Youtube channel as an active subscriber, that is something I will appreciate greatly. So until next time, remember to stay safe and stay tuned.
